Tyne and Wear Metro is operated by are operated by DB Regio Tyne & Wear Ltd, who are part of Arriva, on behalf of the area’s Passenger Transport Executive, Nexus. It consists of a green Line¸ which runs between Newcastle Airport and South Hylton, and a Yellow Line, which runs between St James and South Shields.
